How To Relax So You Gain Technical Ability In Music - Workshop!

Does your body become more tense when you play difficult passages?

Relaxing while you play is a good idea, but sometimes relaxation can take away your technical ability and emotional impact.

Is there a way of relaxing while you play so that you *gain* technical ability, rather than lose it?

______________________________________________________

If you relax in a "slumping on the sofa" kind of way, then your music-making will become less technically proficient.

If, instead, you relax in a way that increases your awareness and awakeness, your playing will become agile, supple, and powerful.

(A great side-effect of this kind of relaxation is that it helps your music become more emotionally engaging, too.)

Thus, *how* you relax makes all the difference. This difference is what we will study in this workshop.
